Easter Offering Information…

“Do you believe in me?” This is the theme for the 2010 Easter offering. Jesus asks, “do you believe in me?”. Each day, the General Ministries of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) answers that question through their witness to God’s good news. Your support of the Easter offering witnesses to our belief that we can do all things through Christ Jesus who believes in us.  General Ministries that receive support from the Easter offering include: Church Extension, Council on Christian Unity, Disciples Benevolent Services, Central Pastoral office for Hispanic Ministries, Disciples of Christ Historical Society, Disciples Home Missions and the Division of Overseas Ministries/Global Ministries.

We will receive the Easter offering on Sunday, March 28th and Sunday, April 4th. Your gift says “You believe in the power of the resurrection!” Please give generously.                                                                               ~Rita McCabe

Week of Compassion
 

WOW!  Words cannot express how I feel about the congregation at Central Christian Church.  You went above and beyond your generosity in giving to the Week of Compassion offering and to help with the disaster in Haiti.   Funds designated to Haiti totaled $1,241.38 and funds designated for Week of Compassion totaled $703.35.  That is a grand total of $1,944.73 and our goal was $1,000.  I'm sure the people in Haiti will appreciate your giving and the money that was given to Week of Compassion will go to help with other disasters as they arise.  Thanks again for your help in feeding God's sheep around the world.
