5-03-15 Abundant Christianity: The Helper

In Acts 1:8, Jesus said that we will receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon us and we would be witnesses for Him unto the world. When we rely on the Spirit’s power in our life, we experience His abundance in the form of God’s gifts and the Spirit’s fruit. In these last days, we need to rely on His power, not just our efforts. (John 14:16-17)

4-26-15 The Abundant Christian Life: In His Service

As God’s people, we have been called to participate in the building of God’s Kingdom in one way or another. The Bible gives us guidelines on how we are to serve and for whom we are serving. And we need to remember, men may forget the rings we have done on behalf of Christ and His Church, but God never forgets. (1 Corinthians 3:5-11, Hebrews 6:10)

3-08-15 We Bear His Name

What a special privilege it is to be a messenger of the Most High God. Paul was converted and sent to bear the name of Jesus to the Gentiles as well as the Jews. We are also called to bear His name. The name of Jesus. (Acts 9:1-15, Colossians 3:12-17)

12-07-14 The Gift of Grace

Grace is when we get what we don’t deserve or when we don’t get something we do deserve. God gave us the gift of salvation when we didn’t deserve it and keeps back His wrath toward us even though we do deserve that. Should we not also have this same grace toward others? (Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6)

9-14-14 Being an Influence

God has called us to be an agent of influence in this world. Roger Vezeau of Youth for Christ, reflects on these questions: Have you been reconciled? Does God’s love compel you everyday to a life of influence? Do people see your new life in Christ? Do you see the world thru God’s eyes? Are you looking thru the right lense? Do you know you are plan A; there is no Plan B? (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
